Your data, plainly.
Last updated 6 October 2026. JobAlly ("we") runs JobAlly.
What JobAlly does
JobAlly helps you apply for jobs. You keep a profile and resume with us; the JobAlly browser extension uses them to fill job application forms in your own browser, and asks you for anything it cannot answer. You decide what is submitted: every application waits for your approval unless you turn on Autopilot for company career sites, which submits within a daily limit you set.
What we collect
Account: your name, email and sign-in details (a password hash, or your Google account ID if you sign in with Google). Profile and resume: what you enter or upload, such as work history, education, skills, contact details, expected salary, notice period and work authorization. Your answers: answers you give to application questions, saved so you are not asked twice. Application records: which jobs were screened, filled, approved or submitted, the answers sent, and when. Billing: purchases and credit history; card and UPI details are handled by the payment provider and never reach us.
What the extension reads, and what it does not
The extension works only on job pages: LinkedIn job search and Easy Apply, and company career pages on Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workable and SmartRecruiters, plus the JobAlly website. On those pages it reads the job title, company and description, and the questions on the application form, and sends them to JobAlly to decide answers. It does not read your messages, feed, contacts or browsing history; it does not run on other websites; it never reads or stores your LinkedIn or email password; and it does not solve CAPTCHAs or get around a site's security.
Why we use it
Only to provide JobAlly: to find jobs that fit, fill your applications with your own information, remember your answers, track your applications, and handle credits and payments. We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or share it with employers except through the applications you choose to send.
Who else handles it
Our hosting provider stores your account data on our behalf. The payment provider processes purchases. Employers receive an application only when it is submitted with your approval or by Autopilot as you configured it. We disclose data if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
For as long as you have an account. When you delete your account, your profile, resume, saved answers, application history and connected browsers are erased immediately. Purchase and credit records are kept, without your name or email, for as long as tax and accounting law require.
Your choices and rights
You can view and edit your information under Resume & Profile, disconnect the extension under Settings, and delete your account under Settings → Delete your account. Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act you may ask us for a summary of your data, correction or erasure, and nominate someone to exercise these rights; if you are elsewhere, similar rights may apply. Write to privacy@jobally.example; we reply within 30 days.
Job platforms' rules
Some job platforms, including LinkedIn, restrict automated activity in their terms. JobAlly keeps you in control, but your use of those platforms remains subject to their terms and is your responsibility.
Changes and contact
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will say so on this page and by email before it takes effect. Questions or complaints: privacy@jobally.example.
